Common Core Curriculum:
· AISB-Hope International Secondary School is standards-based. All subjects use modified American-based standards and curriculum. Math and English are based on Common Core standards and science is based on NextGen standards. We use both imported textbooks and resources and teacher-prepared materials.
· The Common Core curriculum serves as the foundation for our secondary education program. The Common Core sets clear and consistent learning goals for students, focusing on English language arts, mathematics, and literacy in all subject areas.
· The Common Core curriculum is thoughtfully structured to ensure a seamless progression from grade 6 through high school. Each grade level builds upon the foundations laid in the previous years, promoting a cumulative and comprehensive learning experience.

Specialized Programs:
· In addition to our regular educational program, students have access to many opportunities for learning enrichment and targeted support. For students that need assistance in learning English, we offer an English Plus program. Students enrolled in this program receive daily support while they learn all their subjects in English. They receive individualized instruction that helps them understand, use, and practice writing skills, language analytical and contextual skills, and more.
Homeroom and Assembly:
· Homeroom - In addition to our regularly scheduled learning periods, students have one homeroom period per day led by a designated homeroom teacher. Two or three times per week, students engage in character growth lessons and games to enrich their development. School-wide announcements and events are also shared with the student body during this time. This homeroom time gives students the opportunity to work on assignments during school hours and get academic guidance from their homeroom teacher.
· Assembly - Assembly time at AISB-Hope International Secondary School is multifaceted. Once per week, the entire secondary school gathers together in a collective space where students participate in an assembly presentation with games, activities, and various interactives led by teachers, students, or in a collaborative effort between both parties. Assembly themes are based on specific character traits such as Patience, Generosity, Compassion, Attentiveness, Diligence, Gratefulness and more. Additionally, the assembly time is a place for celebrating student achievements and reinforcing school values and a shared school culture.
