About Us:
Over the years, hundreds of our students have gained valuable knowledge, insights and a deeper perspective about their learning experiences and lives. Learning in such a caring, supportive, and nurturing environment helps establish resilient character that goes with them whenever they return to their home countries or continue to study abroad in universities around the world. Academic Program:
Description of the Elementary Program:
The educational program of the elementary school curriculum is multifaceted and includes math, science, social studies, English Language Arts, world languages, music, physical education, art, Character Studies and information technology. As a standards-based school, our curriculum is aligned with internationally recognized achievement standards and benchmarks. Teachers work collaboratively to ensure that subjects are integrated across the curriculum, content is organized according to cross grade level scope and sequences and students receive a comprehensive learning experience that includes all modalities of learning. In the early years, an emphasis is placed on integrated language acquisition activities and then project-based learning in upper elementary grades. Students are consistently supported as their talents and interests develop - by our team of specialized professional educators.
Specialized Programs:
In addition to our regular educational program, students have access to many opportunities for learning enrichment and targeted support. For students that need assistance in learning English, we offer an English Plus program. Students enrolled in this program receive daily support while they learn all their subjects in English. They receive individualized instruction that helps them understand and use unfamiliar vocabulary and terms. Also, we have an established learning assistance program designed to assist students who have specific academic, social, and emotional needs. Finally, upper elementary students come together to enjoy weekly English enrichment lessons that help improve overall literacy and creative writing.
Extracurricular Activities:
Students are encouraged to get involved in our sports program, where they get to participate in tournaments and events on campus and at other international schools. In addition, our school offers a vast variety of after-school activities (ASAs) throughout the school year. Students enjoy additional experiences in art, music, science, fitness, and many other activities available to various grade levels.
Classrooms and Facilities:
Physical classrooms are spacious and homeroom class sizes typically range from 6-12 students. Our school's 3-story building was recently renovated and is modern, spacious and contains many beautiful features. Within our school, we have two libraries, a computer lab, music room, multipurpose room, nurse station, assembly area and many specialized classrooms. Our school grounds include an elementary playground, elementary play area, basketball court, volleyball court and a full-sized soccer field.

Throughout the academic year, the elementary school enjoys many special events:
Fall Fair (Oct.)
This event is open to the public and includes activities, booths organized by staff and students. Also, other venders attend this event both from within our school community and from supportive organizations.
Character Celebration Day (Nov.)
This special event is an opportunity for our students to host activities throughout the school that highlight many of the character traits that they have learned to value and practice.
Christmas Concert (Dec.)
This amazing celebration of musical talent always proves to be a beautiful heartwarming community event that truly expresses the true meaning of Christmas.
Chinese New Year Celebration (Jan.)
The Chinese department takes the lead and helps give all our staff and students a rich and immersive cultural experience.
Reading Day (Mar.)
Every elementary classroom enjoys the opportunity of getting dressed up as characters from famous stories. Seeing literature come to life through retellings, illustrations and dramatizations is such a special delight to those who love reading.
Sports Day (May)
This event is always such an energetic and enthusiastic day of fun games and team activities.
Spring Fair, including Spring Concert and Talent Show (May)
Like our Fall Fair and Christmas concert, this event is full of wonderful student performances, yet with the addition of unique themes and drama. The Talent Show is a true celebration of the diversity of gifts and talents that our students and staff are encouraged to share with our entire school community.
Kindergarten Graduation / Grade 5 Promotion
These events mark moments when we take some time to celebrate student achievement and the transition into a significantly new stage of our students’ educational journey.
